The Gap Inc. says it will close 175 stores as part of a larger North America reorganization.
The San Fransisco-based retailer says the move comes as part of a larger streamlining process to adjust to changing customer shopping habits. It expects the 175 specialty stores to be closed over the next few years, including 140 occurring this fiscal year. It is also cutting 250 jobs at its headquarters.
