A giant aircraft that’s been retooled for trauma care training is coming to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The base this week began receiving sections of a C-17 Globemaster III fuselage, which was transformed into an aeromedical evacuation trainer at Joint Base San Antonio in Texas. It will be reassembled here and used for simulated in-flight and ground training for hundreds of doctors, and medical technicians attending the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine.
