Downtown Dayton could get first bakery and sweet shop

A home-based baker in Dayton is ready to take her business to the next level in downtown Dayton and fill a hole in the local dining scene. Twist Cupcakery has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $6,000 to open a bakery in downtown Dayton. Owner and baker Alexandra "Kate" Rivers said she is in negotiation to lease a retail space in the heart of downtown, and will open whether or not the campaign is successful.
