Gas prices in the Dayton region have dropped slightly more than 10 cents per gallon in the past week, but the forecast for the second quarter offers a big surprise.
That's according to the newest price updates and forecast issued Tuesday by GasBuddy.com, which lists the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in the Dayton region at $2.24. That's down from $2.36 per gallon a month ago, and a huge decline from the $3.59 per gallon this time last year.
