The year is off to a strong start with nearly 20,000 open jobs in Dayton, according to numbers newly released from the state.
Data from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services show nearly 20,000 open jobs in the 14-county West Ohio region from Jan. 14 to Feb. 13 — a sharp uptick of about 3,000 postings from the previous month, and reflecting an annual trend of a diverse number of employers picking up hiring going into the bust spring season.
