The organization responsible for marketing downtown is switching up its events strategy by reworking its two hallmark events.
The Downtown Dayton Partnership is cancelling both Urban Nights events, which since 2002 have happened on the second weekend of May and September as a way to draw visitors to downtown and showcase its businesses, housing, arts and recreation amenities.
In their place, the group is rolling out a new events schedule that includes smaller events held more often.
