Five branches of the Dayton Metro Library will soon offer 3-D printers for public use.
Starting July 13, patrons can bring their USB flash drives to the Ft. McKinley, Huber Heights, Miamisburg, Vandalia and Wilmington-Stroop branches. Staff will add the files — which must be in .STL format — to a 3-D print queue.
Printing will cost ten cents per gram of material used. Objects must be smaller than 10” x 10” x 10” and take no longer than six hours to print.
