A Sidney-based small business is taking aim at helping roads last longer.Michael Freisthler founded Asphalt Systems Inc. after 22 years in the asphalt industry and for the past 15 years has been developing a product, Biorestor. A soybean-based asphalt rejuvenator coating, it's intended to protect new asphalt from oxidizing and becoming brittle. This in turn is hoped to increase its life span by seven to 11 years, he said.
